CliniPower’s facility at Avonmouth currently utilises two methods for the treatment of Hazardous and Healthcare waste. Our Pyrolysis system, designed in house, is perfect for the incineration/recovery and disposal of all types of healthcare wastes and many hazardous wastes. The materials are converted into simple gases and used to fuel conventional steam power cycle. CliniPower facilitates are designed to be able to take in multiple waste streams.
Thanks to continuing investment, CliniPower are operating a new plant for the treatment of healthcare waste including orange bag materials. Here the waste is pre shredded and then heat treated using an innovative dry heat system. The resulting sterilised material is then used as Refused Derived Fuel (RDF).
